From Velana International Airport (MLE) you have two options: a 50-minute speedboat or a public ferry from Male Ferry Terminal (approximately 3-4 hours, very affordable). We recommend the speedboat for convenience. We are happy to help you time your arrival around our dive schedule.

We do not operate transfers ourselves, but we can recommend reliable local operators and advise on the best connections for your specific flight times. Contact us before you book flights and we will help you plan the right itinerary around dives.

Drop Dive is located on Bodu Magu, Rasdhoo, a 3 minute walk from the main jetty. On Fuvahmulah we operate from Orchid Magu. Both centres are signed and easy to find; we will send you a map when you confirm your booking.

No experience is needed for Try Scuba or the Open Water Diver course. You must be at least 10 years old (Try Scuba) or 12 years old (Open Water Diver), able to swim comfortably and in good general health. A simple medical questionnaire is completed before the first session.

All SSI course prices include tuition, the official digital learning materials, SSI certification registration, all equipment (BCD, regulator, wetsuit, mask, fins, tank & weights) and boat fees. They do not include accommodation or meals. See our prices page for the full breakdown.

Yes. SSI (Scuba Schools International) certifications are recognised at virtually every dive operator and resort worldwide. Your digital certification card is stored in the SSI app and can be shown anywhere in the world immediately on completion.

Absolutely - and we encourage it. SSI provides a full e-learning portal that you can complete on any device before you arrive. This frees up more of your holiday for actual diving. We will send you login details when you confirm your booking.

Rasdhoo is famous for grey reef shark aggregations - seen most reliably at Madivaru Corner dive spot. Year-round residents include reef sharks, manta rays, eagle rays, turtles, moray eels, octopus, Napoleon wrasse and a huge variety of reef fish. Whale sharks pass through seasonally, they are hard to see but never impossible!.

Shark sightings are reliable during the whole year, but especially between November and April (north-east monsoon season) when water clarity is at its best.

Yes. We provide all scuba equipment including BCDs, regulators, wetsuits, masks, fins and tanks. We also stock a range of equipment for purchase or upgrade. If you have your own gear, you are welcome to use it.

Our packages typically include 2-3 guided dives per day across morning and afternoon boats. The optional night dive is offered as an add-on. Full details are listed on the prices page.

We recommend booking at least 4-8 weeks in advance, especially during the peak November-April season. Popular weeks around Christmas and New Year fill quickly. Last-minute bookings are sometimes possible. Contact us to check availability.

Cancellations made 30+ days before your trip start date receive a full refund minus a small administrative fee. Cancellations within 30 days are subject to a partial refund that depends on what has been pre-arranged. Please contact us as soon as possible if your plans change - we will do our best to accommodate you.

Yes. Rasdhoo island has beautiful beaches, snorkelling, island hopping and sandbank excursions for non-divers. Our partner guesthouses can organise these activities. Non-diving companions can often join the boat to snorkel at dive sites with calm, shallow sections.

We accept US Dollars (USD) and Euros (EUR). We accept card payments and cash. Card payments are subject to a 4% fee charged by Bank of Maldives. We recommend bringing some USD or EUR cash for small purchases and gratuities on the island.
